Developments
Meru University has invested on the development of new facilities and the improvement of existing ones to ensure that our students get the best of their university experience. MUST realizes that development of necessary scientific and technological infrastructure together with technical and entrepreneurial skills is a prerequisite for transforming Kenya into a modern and prosperous society.Current Ongoing construction projects include a library, tuition block, student’s hostel, food science laboratory and administration block.
NEW ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
MUST offers a wide range of courses to cater for the high demand of education.The programmes offered are designed to get graduates to work in the relevant fields quickly through provision of adequate hands-on-training and education required.In line with the Strategic Plan for the period 2009 - 2014 and our mandate, the institution is in the process of establishment of various schools and faculties including Science, Agriculture and Food Sciences, Engineering, Environmental and Health Sciences among others. The University has recently rolled out various Post-graduate Programmes and more degree programmes to its curriculum in a bid to quench the overwhelming demand for its courses.
GAMES AND SPORTS
Meru University handball ladies team emerged Champions scooping fist place during this year’s Central Zone of Kenya Universities Sports Association (CEKUSA) held on 29th and 30th October 2011.The handball men and badminton team scooped the first runner’s up positions while the table tennis team came in 3rd.
